Would you rather donate your data, or your lungs?

"Intro to Biology, The Secret of Life", MITx 7.00, Eric Lander PhD (MOOC)
"5% of all individuals are carriers for cystic fibrosis. Could be worth couples testing to know if they are carriers for cystic fibrosis, for example.  Suppose you were a carrier for cystic fibrosis. What's the chance that you are going to meet someone and they'll also be a carrier for cystic fibrosis? 1 in 22. 1 in 22 is a 5% chance. So that means somebody who knew that she was a carrier for cystic fibrosis knows that there's a 5% chance that the person they might marry will be a carrier for cystic fibrosis. These are actually meaningful numbers in the population, things people might want to know."  (Eric Lander, PhD, "Intro to Biology", lecture week 4: "Basics of Human Genetics")

And remember: a transplant is not a cure. Though it can help you live longer... So, which one would you rather donate? Your data, or your lungs?...
