"Death is no longer part of life"

You might have heard about that doctors' lamento:  "patients" won't accept disease, handicap and death any more - though death is part of life ...

I'd like to tell these physicians that I strongly disagree with them ...

From the top of my head, here are a few significant examples:

1) Thank you, Mr. Tim Burton ;-)

2) Ever heard of a Blog and website called "Foruforever"? This is a Belgian website.  I love it, just like the Belgian chocolates and comics ...  Their credo: "Death is part of life". This morning, I was reading their article about how teenagers react to death (read) ... It's pretty good ...

3) Speaking of teens and grieving ... how could I not mention the immensely popular Twilight saga?  ...

A typical, average French physician (corporatism-oriented and driven) thinks that he has to proceed off his own bat ... Maybe that's the problem? ...
4) Hey guys, ever heard of one of your peers who is a worldwide famous American surgeon and journalist,
writing bestsellers about his real job? Please read this and get inspired!

Atul Gawande, MD, PhD, is the author of three bestsellers:
I've read them three.  I can tell you they are unprecedented in their candor ... This is truly about patient education.  Not about some kind of polemic, written by a physician driven by frustration ("I'm a poor lonesome cow-boy and a long long way from home") ... Forget about the cow-boy crap ...  Mr. Gawande truly thinks patients and doctors are doing some kind of genuine teamwork and have to keep at it ... which means, have to keep improving ... TOGETHER ...
