The French Organ Donation Myth

We are made to believe that "organ donation" is something like that. "Bio Market" ... mmmh ... not quite so ...

French officials at the Ministry of Health say:  in France we have no organ trafficking, just because organ trafficking or organ selling is banned and prohibited by the law nothing will ever happen in terms of organ trafficking in France.  That's all very well, but can we trust politicians, since bankers rule the world, not politicians ... Bankers, who buy (and sell?) made in China organs, but they are not the only ones ... Now let's look at the facts:  the worldwide championship in transplant goes to the USA.  There is a BIG organ trafficking issue in the US (call the excuse for it "donation shortage" or lack of innovation) ... Second champion:  China, where  98 to 99% of transplants come from organ trafficking ... in spite of the Chinese government's efforts ... Capital punishment is thriving in China, so is organ "donation" (commerce) ... sheer coincidence or something more?  I think we all know the answer ... Now, how comes nothing changes, since this organ trafficking is not exactly a secret ...  Well, it's because we all believe in a "regular organ donation" myth that just does not exist.  Organ donation is in fact a sacrifice, since fresh organs are needed ... That's why "organ donation" (the sacrifice of a dying person for the sake of her/his organs) does not work in many countries, including China, Japan, arabic countries ...

Now you understand the reason why "organ donation" worldwide has become a worldwide biomarket, not to be mistaken with Bio Market, with (empoverished) people selling a kidney (80% of worldwide performed transplants are kidney transplants) to sick people who can afford it ... We live in a global world, don't we?  People want to save their life or the life of their next of kin (son, daughter, etc.), no matter what.  Forget about the French exception ... and blame the system, not the people ...  This results in a public health crisis, in each and every country ... Yes, the truth is, we have to face a major health crisis today, in terms of shortage of organs ... There might be an answer to these problems ... Just take a look at this TED conference (video) ... And, quite honestly, I'd like to hear more about organ trafficking in China and the alternatives to this ghoulish trafficking on (French) BFM Business Radio ... They have this wonderful "show", each Saturday at 18:00 PM : "China Weekly" ("Chine Hebdo") ...
