It will stimulate your mind with this mind boggling question: why is this "monitoring" medicine not becoming the standard instead of the exception??
Our health care system is NOT patient-centered. Medicine as we know it is entrenched: doctors are lonesome cowboys, which has proved inadequate: we need pit crews instead (and forget about the cowboy crap!). Now if you listen to this MD (to me he sounds like T'pol in "Star Trek DS9" TV show), you'll understand why medicine 1.0 is in a crisis. The answer is plain and simple: healthcare should be patient-centered, not Big Pharma&Biotech-centered... My body, my data... Oh, by the way: ever heard of Paris (France) fablab "La Paillasse"? Making custom DNA on demand, printing DNA, sequencing tumour DNA from cancer patients, then providing data analysis to tell them whether a specific drug or treatment will work...  possible and feasable (read)... Is biology's May 68 happening now? (read). Aaaand the "2.0 Deontology" theory is... getting real?

    "NerdWallet has already launched its first product, a hospital comparison tool. As recent press reports show, costs vary wildly between hospitals and health clinics. Patients know exactly how much they will pay for a carton of milk, but when it comes to surgical procedures, they are in the dark.
