thousands of genomes at a materials cost of just a few thousand dollars.
Maybe some of the engineers behind that deserve a Nobel. Instead of
focusing on a discrete goal, like the human genome, the NIH’s BRAIN
initiative, aimed at mapping the brain, looks like it will push the
development of technologies to make the job possible. That’s probably as
good a lesson as any to be learning from the genome wars."
