Welcome to the digital era of biology (and to this modest blog I started in early 2005).

To cure many diseases, like cancer or cystic fibrosis, we will need to target genes (mutations, for ex.), not organs! I am convinced that the future of replacement medicine (organ transplant) is genomics (the science of the human genome). In 10 years we will be replacing (modifying) genes; not organs!

Vous êtes Français(se) et les langues étrangères, ce n'est pas trop votre truc ... Pourtant, vous aimeriez bien vous débrouiller en chinois mandarin pour dire quelques petites choses basiques, et même les écrire ... histoire d'impressionner vos petites têtes blondes et leur donner l'envie de s'y mettre ... Après tout, la Chine, c'est ce pays vers lequel toutes les têtes se tournent aujourd'hui ... Alors, pourquoi ne pas en apprendre la langue dans ses rudiments, histoire de se dire qu'on visiterait bien Pékin ou Shanghai, ou ... Voici quelques conseils, donnés par une prof de langues étrangères, avant de vous lancer dans l'aventure ... Amusez-vous bien ! N'oubliez pas d'aller faire un petit e-tour à la librairie parisienne Le Phoenix ...
