Welcome to the digital era of biology (and to this modest blog I started in early 2005).

To cure many diseases, like cancer or cystic fibrosis, we will need to target genes (mutations, for ex.), not organs! I am convinced that the future of replacement medicine (organ transplant) is genomics (the science of the human genome). In 10 years we will be replacing (modifying) genes; not organs!

Conférence sur la santé 2.0



Santé… vous avez dit 2.0 ? Enfin une conférence pour comprendre comment les technologies du Web révolutionnent le secteur de la santé.
Jean-Michel Billaut dresse un bilan peu favorable du fonctionnement actuel des praticiens de la santé. Peu de veille technologique, fonctionnement en circuit fermé… pourtant les technologies au service de la santé 2.0 leur apportent un souffle supplémentaire, notamment pour faire face à un tsunami colossal qui se rapproche : le vieillissement de la population.
Alors que les technologies et les startups de l’e-santé ont de plus en plus d’impact aux États-Unis, qu’en est-il en France ?
