Welcome to the digital era of biology (and to this modest blog I started in early 2005).

To cure many diseases, like cancer or cystic fibrosis, we will need to target genes (mutations, for ex.), not organs! I am convinced that the future of replacement medicine (organ transplant) is genomics (the science of the human genome). In 10 years we will be replacing (modifying) genes; not organs!

Health 2.0 made in Chinifornia

Cela va vite en Chine, en santé 2.0 ... très vite ... Siemens, le géant allemand de l'industrie médicale, travaille en Chine ... pour essayer de voir les points d'acupuncture de la médecine traditionnelle chinoise à l'imagerie médicale ... s'il y parvient, c'est tout le marché de la santé chinois qui viendra lui manger dans la main ...

En Californie, Apple développe ses produits santé pour tablets et autres iPhones ... Il n'est pas déraisonnable d'imaginer un partenariat Apple-Siemens, ou Siemens-Apple ...

Quant aux modalités économiques de ce partenariat, on a vu que la médecine 2.0 ne manque pas d'imagination ... y compris celle gauloise ... du moins on l'espère ...
