Welcome to the digital era of biology (and to this modest blog I started in early 2005).
To cure many diseases, like cancer or cystic fibrosis, we will need to target genes (mutations, for ex.), not organs! I am convinced that the future of replacement medicine (organ transplant) is genomics (the science of the human genome). In 10 years we will be replacing (modifying) genes; not organs!

Une "webschool" sur l'éthique médicale ?
J'aimerais faire de ce blog une "webschool" sur l'éthique médicale ... Avant 2025 si possible ! "Quand la France se réveillera"... La France s'est en effet endormie après les Trente Glorieuses ... L'expression me paraît on ne peut plus judicieuse ... Cela étant, je pense que la France est en train de se réveiller si j'en juge par nos jeunes entrepreneurs de l'Internet que j'ai devant ma webcam. Les gars ne s'emberlificotent pas dans des considérations gauloises ... Où chaque caste sociale râle après l'autre, ou l'élite se préoccupe plus de ses stocks options, et où nos élus se chipotent dans les couloirs de nos Palais, et font les choux gras des médias 1.0... Mais le réveil prendra du temps ... Il faudra certainement attendre que notre élite analogique parte se reposer chez Dieu le Père pour laisser la place à nos digital natives ..." (source)
