Welcome to the digital era of biology (and to this modest blog I started in early 2005).

To cure many diseases, like cancer or cystic fibrosis, we will need to target genes (mutations, for ex.), not organs! I am convinced that the future of replacement medicine (organ transplant) is genomics (the science of the human genome). In 10 years we will be replacing (modifying) genes; not organs!

Une montre électrocardiogramme qui fait un tabac aux USA !

La montre électrocardiogramme Basis (je simplifie, mais c'est bien plus qu'un simple cardia-fréquencemètre) est disponible pour les US à $199 aujourd'hui... Et le stock a été vidé (vendu) en quelques heures ! Pour explorer les spécificités techniques de ce "device" en e-santé, c'est par ici (et en Anglais) ... Quelques jours d'autonomie, capteurs dans le bracelet, cette montre permet de mesurer votre fréquence cardiaque en continu, pendant des jours ... voire en permanence ... Quand est-ce que ce "device" arrivera en France ? Euh ...
