Welcome to the digital era of biology (and to this modest blog I started in early 2005).

To cure many diseases, like cancer or cystic fibrosis, we will need to target genes (mutations, for ex.), not organs! I am convinced that the future of replacement medicine (organ transplant) is genomics (the science of the human genome). In 10 years we will be replacing (modifying) genes; not organs!

Sur la place du village, Franz et Swanilda, qui s'aiment d'un amour tendre et doivent se marier, font des projets lorsqu'arrive à bord d'une roulotte un inquiétant savant : Coppélius. A sa fenêtre, Franz aperçoit une ravissante demoiselle qui immédiatement fait chavirer son coeur... Jalouse, Swanilda veut en savoir plus sur sa rivale. Elle s'introduit avec ses amies dans l'antre de Coppélius, où elle découvre un fatras de ressorts, mécanismes, costumes, têtes, bras et jambes... Coppélia, la fameuse rivale, n'est qu'un pantin ! Si Coppélius tente de tromper Franz en lui présentant sa belle créature, Swanilda fait tout pour qu'éclate la vérité. Confus de s'être laissé berner par un simple automate, Franz implore le pardon de sa fiancée et l'épouse à la fête du village." (Source : Amazon.fr)

Mon commentaire : Les dessins sont très jolis, d'ailleurs je l'ai acheté, cet album, comme cadeau de Noël ... Mais pour être franche, je préfère la lecture interactive ... L'idéal étant de combiner les dessins dudit album papier (et l'histoire qui va avec) avec ... la petite présentation vidéo qui suit (source).
